Counter Composed is a performance inspired by Theo van Doesburg, founder of De Stijl. He defined ‘counter composition’ as ‘a phenomenon of time-space tension of colour, line or plane, always in opposition to the natural and architectural structure’. Such ideas are brought to bear on this performance, through body movement, live music and stage design.
